In the menu section Application Management / Procurement / Assortment, you can manage suppliers' assortments.
Manually Adding an product
By clicking the 'Add' button at the top of the overview, you can add a new product to the assortment. First, specify the supplier from which the product can be ordered. By providing a category, the item becomes easier for purchasers to find. You can add categories in the Categories menu section. Fill out the remaining mandatory fields, indicated by the asterisk, and click 'Save' at the top.
Managing products via import
In addition to manually adding products, you can also import a file. This allows you to add multiple products at once or modify existing products or set them to passive. To do this, click the 'Import Assortment' button at the top of the assortment overview. Then select the desired import definition. Different import definitions may be set for each supplier. This way, you can import a file for each supplier containing all the products you want to make available in the assortment. If the supplier is mentioned in the uploaded file, you do not need to select a supplier during import. If the file does not mention a supplier, you can choose for which supplier you want to import the products. Under 'File', you can upload the file you want to import. This can be a CSV or Excel file. Clicking 'Show Field Layout' will display how the file should be structured. If desired, you can modify the import definition to use a different file structure.
If you only want to import a portion of your file, choose 'Import from'. This is useful if you're importing a file with multiple categories, such as 'Food' and 'Leisure'. Choose the category you want to import/update here. The other products in the file will be 'ignored' by the software.
Adding images via import
If you want to add an image to an product, you can do so by including a URL to the image in the file. First, locate the image, for example, in the supplier's webshop, and right-click on the image:
Select 'Copy image address' and then paste the URL into your import file. The product image will be visible to the purchaser when selecting the product.
