Are you using a webservice and are you unable to export an invoice to the Visma.net Financials financial package? Then this can have various causes.
The cause may be translated into an error message that you can see in the export report. We get this error message back from the financial package and it indicates why it was not possible to export the invoice. Unfortunately, this error message often does not clearly indicate what needs to be done in order to get the invoice exported.
In this article we have collected a number of error messages with a possible explanation and what you can do to solve the problem.
Accountview webservice
- Error Message: INVALID COMPANY ADMINISTRATIONS BOOKYEAR LINK: "Administration Name"
Possible Cause: In AccountView, a new administration must be opened for each fiscal year.
Possible Solution: Ensure there is an administration for the current fiscal year, and make sure it has the same name as the previous year (with the exception of the year).
- Error Message: INVALID WEBAPP CONFIGURATION
Possible Cause: The web service needs to be refreshed or restarted.
Possible Solution: Restart the server hosting the web service. If this does not resolve the issue, refresh the web service in AccountView by updating the Document/Brancheview Online settings.
- Error Message: NO ACCESS TO SPECIFIED ADMIN
Possible Cause: The user does not have access to the administration.
Possible Solution: Verify that the ProActive/Spend Cloud user configured in AccountView for exporting invoices has access to the administration. If this is correct, check if the "financial package number" in the administration settings in Spend Cloud matches the administration number in AccountView.
- Error Message: File access is denied (path to location where files are added)
Possible Cause: The web service running on IIS does not have access to the relevant database files for the administration, based on the path provided. This could involve cost centers, cost carriers, or projects.
Possible Solution: Ensure that access is granted to the IIS user running the web service. The issue may also be related to the path to the administration files, which might differ from the machine where IIS runs. In that case, consider using a UNC path in the reference to the administration files in AccountView.
- Error Message: The request is invalid.
Possible Cause: The invoice PDF is too large. AccountView has a maximum size limit of 4MB, and files exceeding this size will not be accepted.
