How do I erase the cookies of my browser?

It can sometimes happen that things in Spend Cloud appear differently than expected. An example of this is when certain buttons suddenly appear in English instead of Dutch. This could be caused by stored cookies.
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your computer. They contain information such as preferences and items in your shopping cart. When you revisit a website, cookies help the site recognize you and customize your experience. Think of them as remembering login details or language preferences, as well as making pages load faster. Cookies are useful, but over time, too many stored cookies can become mixed up by your browser, leading to an undesired display.
The solution may be to clear your browser's cookies. Below, we explain how to do this specifically for the display in Spend Cloud.

If you encounter difficulty following the steps below or are unsure if you have permission to perform these actions, please contact your immediate supervisor, application administrator, or IT department within your organization.

Sometimes, clearing cookies alone may not immediately lead to a solution. In such cases, we recommend clearing the cache alongside cookies. Follow the steps below to clear the cache on your computer.
The cache is the storage location for temporary files on your computer that helps web pages load faster. These files can consist of text fragments, images, or videos. By storing these files locally on your computer, pages load faster. However, this can sometimes result in discrepancies between the stored files and what you should actually see on the page. In such cases, clearing the cache is necessary to see the correct display.

Clearing the Cache

The following steps are the same for all the browsers mentioned above.
  1. Open your browser and press the following keys on your keyboard simultaneously: [CTRL] [SHIFT] [DELETE].
  2. A new window will appear where you can check several options and select a time slot.
  3. Make sure at least the following options are checked: Cookies, Cache/Cached images.
  4. Select the time slot 'Always' or 'Everything.'
  5. Finally, click on 'Clear' or 'Delete.' After this, close the browser completely and restart it. You are now done.

If you still run into wrong appearances in Spend Cloud, please contact our Support department (only for application managers).

If you use a different browser and are unsure how to clear cookies using that browser, please contact your application administrator or IT department.
