Important information regarding the security of your bunq account

Info
We are gradually discontinuing support for bunq cards within the Spend Cloud. Instead, we will continue with Spend Cloud Cards: our own payment cards. From May 11, it will no longer be possible to order bunq cards. Click here for more information.

We're aware of the current media focus on the security of online banking with bunq. We'd like to address any concerns and inform you about the measures bunq is taking to safeguard your account and funds.

First and foremost, it's crucial to emphasise that the recent phishing incidents specifically target individuals with access to the bunq app, not cardholders. These incidents only affect those who have shared their personal login credentials with malicious actors. By adhering to security guidelines and not disclosing your data, you're not at risk.

For Spend Cloud administrators, we recommend taking the following precautions:
  1. Keep your login details strictly private: Never share your information with others and utilise strong, unique passwords.
  2. Stay vigilant against suspicious communication: Avoid clicking on links in dubious emails or texts, and refrain from entering your details on unfamiliar websites.
  3. Utilise the app for all communication: Rely solely on the bunq app for interactions and transactions.
The Spend Cloud team is always here to support you and address any inquiries. We remain dedicated to providing you with a secure and reliable experience within our services. If you have specific concerns or require further explanation, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation in maintaining the security of your account.
