No money received from an ATM/Geldmaat when using a spend cloud or bunq card for withdrawal

In this article, we explain what you can do when you have tried to withdraw cash at a Geldmaat (the well-known yellow ATMs) or another type of ATM with a bunq card or a Spend Cloud Card and you have not received any cash.

Step 1. Check if the amount was deducted.

First, check in the Spend Cloud App whether the transaction has been completed. Wait a few minutes and look among your bookings to see if the deduction has taken place. If you are not using the Spend Cloud App contact the financial administration of your organization to ask if they can check this in your cardbook.

If the amount has not been deducted, you can try to withdraw money again. Check the Spend Cloud App to see if a reason for the declined transaction has been provided. If necessary, contact the finance department within your organization to resolve the reason for refusal. Try to perform the withdrawal again afterward.

Has the amount been deducted but you did not receive any cash? Proceed
to the next step.

Step 2. Contact the bank that manages the ATM or contact Geldmaat.

Check if you can see which bank manages the ATM and contact this bank as soon as possible. Often, the bank's logo is displayed on the machine.

If the withdrawal was made at a yellow Geldmaat, you should contact Geldmaat. You can find the contact details for Geldmaat here. Always do this in consultation with your organization.

Don't walk away while you're still at the ATM; it could be about fraud with the machine where you're asked for more information over the phone.
