Confirming online payments with a Spend Cloud Card: when multiple users are working on one phone

When a cardholder wants to make an online payment with a Spend Cloud Card, it's necessary to confirm this payment through the Spend Cloud app. This is an additional security measure. The user needs to activate the confirmation of online payments for each card in the app before being able to pay online. In this instruction article, you can read how users can confirm an online payment.

A user can confirm online payments via the app if the following three conditions are met:

1. Online payments must be allowed for a card.
2. The user must be marked in the role of cardholder.
3. The user must be set as the liable card owner in the card settings.

This means that only the person set as the responsible card owner in the card settings can confirm the online payment of a card.

When multiple users are working on one phone

Some organizations operate with locations where multiple cardholders work. In these locations, there is sometimes only one work mobile present. With this mobile device, on which the Spend Cloud App is installed, online payments can be confirmed.

However, because online payments are linked to the liable card owner, each user must have their own Spend Cloud Card. The user making the online payment can then log into their own account in the Spend Cloud App on the work mobile and confirm their online payment. It's possible to add multiple user accounts on one phone with one app.
