If the general optimization menu item is enabled in the configuration of your Spend Cloud, you can find this menu under Application Management / General / Optimization. The optimization menu provides advice on which cost center is best to set as default for a specific general ledger account.
In the optimization menu, you have the option to set default cost centers per general ledger account based on a recommendation. The optimization can reduce the margin of error and require fewer actions during coding since a default is already set. This can still be overridden by the coder if necessary.
On the left side of the page, there's an option to set a minimum usage percentage:
This allows you to determine how often a general ledger-cost center combination needs to be chosen during coding in the past before a recommendation appears.

Please note: You cannot use the 'Optimization' menu if the coding matrix functionality is already in use. With a coding matrix, there's also an option to determine for each general ledger account which 'general ledger subaccount' combination is either limited or mandatory. This is why this menu is unnecessary if the coding matrix is being used.
Don't see the optimization menu? First, check if it needs to be added to your access rights. If it's not there either, our Support department can activate it for you (only for application administrators).
