Activating a Spend Cloud card and linking it to a book

Once you have received your requested Spend Cloud Cards, you need to activate and link them to a cardbook before they can be used. This article explains how to do so.

Activating Spend Cloud Card

  1. Navigate to Application Management / Cash & Card / Card Management.
  2. Click the 'Synchronize' button at the top of the menu if the delivered cards are not yet visible in this overview.
  3. Click on the three dots at the end of the row of the card you wish to activate. Several options will appear, including 'Activate Card'.
  4. Ensure that the card's number matches the one you want to activate, then click 'Activate Card'.
  5. In the overview, the status of the activated card will now be updated to 'To link'.
  6. Next, you can view the card's PIN by clicking on the three dots again. If this option is slightly grayed out, it needs to be added to your rights set.


Linking the Spend Cloud Card to a Cardbook

To make expenses and account for them in the Spend Cloud, the card must be linked to a book. For information on creating a book, refer to this section. Once the book is created, locate it in Application Management / Cash & Card / Books. Edit the book by clicking the pencil icon, then select the card(s) you want to link to the book under 'Card'. Click 'Save' after making your selection.

After linking the card to a book, you can assign the appropriate roles to employees and load funds onto the cardbook.
