A bunq card or Spend Cloud Card can be blocked by both the employee and the application manager.
Temporarily blocking by an Employee
An employee can only temporarily block a card and never has the rights to block it permanently. If an employee loses the card, they can temporarily block and unblock it themselves via their card overview (Cash & Card / Cards). This is subject to the rights set assigned to the employee. If an employee wishes to permanently block a card, they need to contact the application manager.
Blocking by an Employee via the Spend Cloud App
An employee can also block their card via the Spend Cloud app, which is especially useful if the card is lost while on the go and the user doesn’t have access to a computer. The user can block the card by viewing it in the app. This can be done by tapping the card on the app’s home screen or by navigating to the settings through the three dots, then selecting Books and choosing the card there. Finally, tap 'Temporarily Block' and confirm to block the card temporarily.
It is not possible to permanently block a card via the app.
Blocking by an Application Manager
A Cash & Card manager can block a card temporarily or permanently via Card Management in Application Management.
Note: Permanently blocking a card cannot be undone under any circumstances.
In the Application Management / Cash & Card / Card Management menu, click on the three dots at the end of the row of the card you wish to block. Here, you can choose to block a card temporarily or permanently.
If you choose to block the card temporarily, it can also be unblocked (Remove Block), after which the card can be used again immediately.
To permanently block a card that is already marked as Temporarily Blocked, you must first unblock it before you can block it permanently.
