Logging in via Connect
The Spend Cloud is moving to Connect as its login platform. Connect replaces our current login solution and offers a more secure and modern way of logging in, with support for Multi-Factor Authentication, Single Sign-On and passkeys. As an administrator, you will manage employee access in one central place going forward. The way you use the Spend Cloud does not change, only the way you log in will be different. Themed webinar recap: Prepare for Connect: everything you need to know
On 23 June we organised a themed webinar about the transition to Connect. We guided administrators through what is changing step by step, how the different login scenarios work and how to prepare your organisation. From activating your Connect account and verifying a domain to setting up a security policy and managing users. Missed the live session? Watch the recording back via this
link. Please note that all our webinars are presented in Dutch.
Helpful tip! Use the
Connect migration tool Not sure where to start or which steps apply to your organisation? The Connect migration tool will help you on your way. You answer a number of questions about how you currently log in to the Spend Cloud, and based on your answers you receive explanations and instructions tailored to your situation. Already using Connect via another Visma application? The tool takes that into account. Not yet using Connect? The tool explains how to set it up together with your IT department. Allow around 30 to 60 minutes to work through all the steps.
Make sure your organisation stays reachable during the summer
The summer holidays are approaching. This is a good time to check whether someone within your organisation always has administrator rights in the Spend Cloud, even when the regular administrator(s) are on holiday. In practice, we see that users get stuck during holiday periods because there is no one available to perform certain actions or assign permissions. Our Support desk cannot resolve this on your behalf: setting up or adjusting permissions remains the responsibility of the administrator within your organisation.
What you can do now: check whether a second administrator has been designated who is available during the summer, or assign a substitute who can temporarily take over administrator rights. Arrange this before the holiday period to prevent employees from getting unnecessarily stuck and to avoid unnecessary pressure on your support contact. Want to know more?

The most frequently asked questions about switching to Spend Cloud Cards
Do you have questions about switching from bunq cards to Spend Cloud Cards? We have compiled the most frequently asked questions and answers, so you know exactly where you stand at a glance.
Can I still use iDEAL?
Yes, as long as you maintain an active business bunq account. For iDEAL payments you only need the account, not the bunq cards themselves. This means you can replace all bunq cards with Spend Cloud Cards and still continue to use iDEAL via your bunq account.
Do I need to cancel my bunq account?
No, that is not required. If you want to continue using iDEAL or Tikkie, simply keep your bunq account alongside your Spend Cloud Cards.
What happens to existing bunq cards?
They will continue to work until their physical expiry date. From 11 May 2026, no new or replacement bunq cards can be ordered.
Is my balance with Adyen safe, without a deposit guarantee scheme?
Adyen is a fully licensed payment institution under Dutch law, with a banking licence registered with De Nederlandsche Bank. Client balances are held separately from Adyen's own funds in a foundation for third-party funds. This provides legal protection, even though it differs from the deposit guarantee scheme at a bank.
How much time does the transition actually take?Less than you might think. Opening a
balance account takes an average of one to two business days. If you have only a few cards, you are often up and running within a day. Want to know what the transition involves for your specific situation? The
migration tool guides you through it step by step.
Have questions or would you like to tackle it together with a consultant? That is possible, and it is completely free of charge until 30 September 2026. Request the transition service
