How is a cash withdrawal displayed?
When you withdraw cash using your card, the Spend Cloud automatically recognizes this transaction as a cash withdrawal. As a result, the withdrawn amount is immediately shown as an expense in the cash column and automatically recorded as income under the cash withdrawal category.
How is a cash withdrawal recorded in the accounting?
In the Application Management / Cash & Cards / Cost types menu, you, as the application manager, register a system cost type for cash withdrawals. Whenever a cash withdrawal is made, it is always debited to this account. When cash is spent, this transaction is credited to the cash withdrawal account. This way, you can always track the amount of cash circulating in the organization in this account in the accounting.
Making Cash Withdrawals with Prepaid Cards
If your organization uses prepaid cards (for example, Simpled Cards), the Spend Cloud provides a 'Cash Withdrawals' menu. In this overview, you can see all the cash withdrawals made with your prepaid card(s). When you withdraw money, cash is released. To keep track of the cash, Spend Cloud records these withdrawals in this overview. In addition to being recorded here, Spend Cloud will also automatically register the cash withdrawal in the cashbook. This entry can be found in the transactions overview.
