Available for all environments: Creating service orders
Creating service orders in the Spend Cloud simplifies and enhances the efficiency of ordering services and tasks. This update marks a significant progression, enabling users to easily create service orders without needing to define all details upfront. This functionality has been available across all environments since September 26th. Curious about what this feature entails and how it works? Read more here Cash & Card Module
Revamped Card Management: Now also available for bunq cards
In our previous releasemail, we announced a new overview for card management that makes handling multiple Spend Cloud Cards even more straightforward and efficient. This improvement will soon apply to bunq cards as well. Once this feature is available for your environment, you will receive a notification in the Spend Cloud.
What's new?
Faster management: Manage multiple cards simultaneously and adjust settings without switching screens.
Optimised filters: Apply multiple filters, rearrange them, and add columns for more insights.
Enhanced view: View additional information such as payment methods and limits directly in the overview.
When you change your PIN, the new code is updated online immediately, but the PIN on your card's chip, also known as the offline PIN, is not automatically updated. To ensure that both PINs match, a payment must be made by inserting your card into the payment terminal (a contact transaction) after each change. This action updates the chip with the new PIN. Failure to perform a contact transaction will leave the old PIN on the chip, potentially causing issues if the terminal recognises the old code, possibly preventing payment. Ensure you perform a contact transaction after each PIN change to align the online and offline PINs, avoiding surprises at the checkout. Learn more about PIN changes in the DIRK article. Apple Pay: Assign a liable card owner
Apple Pay is fully available! Are your users taking full advantage of this convenient payment method? Before setting up Apple Pay, a liable card owner must be assigned by the application administrator. Discover how to do this easily and experience all the benefits of Apple Pay. Simplified request process from Card Settings
Requesting and activating Spend Cloud Cards is now more straightforward! Previously, linking a card required navigating from the "Books" page, but now the entire process can be executed directly from the card settings, enhancing convenience and efficiency.
Easily request new Spend Cloud Cards
Are your Spend Cloud Cards expiring soon? No worries! You can easily request new cards. Upon activation of a new card, the details from the old card are automatically transferred. Learn how to do this quickly and easily here.
To replace a card, the liable card owner must be known. This individual will receive the new card, ensuring safe delivery to the right location. Invoice Processing
We are introducing a new export logic for our AFAS customers, based on valuable feedback from the community. This new approach utilises transitory bookings in AFAS, providing a more efficient processing of invoices. The operation of Spend Cloud remains unchanged, maintaining the same invoice export method via the Webservice. The only difference is an enhanced processing capability when transitory bookings (period allocation) are applicable. To use this new export to AFAS, no configuration changes are required within AFAS itself. You can activate the new logic by changing the 'Invoice Processing Export Format' field from the current format (024 or 027) to the new value 997 - Customisable - AFAS within the administration settings (Application Management > General > Administrations). More details on adjusting an administration can be found in the DIRK article.
Please note: The new export does not yet support processing with currency or pre-registration (export formats 028 / 222). If you use these features, we kindly ask for your patience. This expansion is expected to be available later this year.
General
New layout for Spend Cloud notification emails
When performing actions such as requesting a new password, you receive automatically generated emails from the Spend Cloud. We have redesigned these emails based on user feedback to better match the fresh look and feel of Spend Cloud. Alongside a more modern design, the content is improved: subjects and texts are clearer and simpler, and you are directly linked to the relevant section in Spend Cloud. This update applies to all automatically generated emails you receive.
A first group of users has already experienced the new email notifications. The update is being released gradually. Once available for your environment, you will receive an email and a notification within Spend Cloud. Curious to see what it looks like? Get a sneak peek here.
To enhance the card use experience, we aim to inform the liable card owner as comprehensively as possible. We have noticed that users without the Spend Cloud App experience more failed transactions. Therefore, we will soon start sending automatic emails in addition to push notifications in the Spend Cloud App in the following scenarios:
Appointment as a liable card owner: When set as such, you receive an immediate email and a push notification in the Spend Cloud App with card instructions.
Change of the liable card owner: When this role changes, the new liable card owner receives an email notification and a push notification via the Spend Cloud App with card usage instructions.
Failed or incorrect transactions: Upon a failed card transaction, the liable card owner receives an email alongside a push notification with the reason for failure and clear instructions to avoid it. If no liable card owner is set, the cardholder receives a push notification and an email is sent to the cardholder.
What's next?
Insight into upcoming card top-ups in the Spend Cloud
Soon, you'll be able to easily view upcoming card top-ups in the Spend Cloud App. This means you can see when your book will be topped up. View an example here:
